What is Worship?
Here at the Vineyard, worship is a very big part of what we do. Although we come together and worship God during the weekend services by sing to Him, that is not the only way that we can worship or the only time. Webster’s dictionary defines worship as reverent honor and homage paid to God or a sacred personage, or to any object regarded as sacred, we believe that God is the only thing worthy of our worship and He desires that worship be part of our daily life, and we can do that in a number of ways.
Trying our best to live the values that Jesus did is the best way that we can worship God, showing love to others is a way of demonstrating just how much we love God. Jesus says in Matthew that whatever loving things that you do for those around you in need, you do directly for Him! It really is ALL ABOUT JESUS.
Many of us are discovering as we learn to turn our eyes toward the One who is life, that He is greater and bigger and kinder and stronger and more merciful and purer and much more wonderful and holy than we could ever have dreamed of.
